The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially begun the sale and registration of forms for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates across Nigeria.
The registration exercise commenced today, Monday, January 26, 2026, and is scheduled to run until Saturday, February 28, 2026. JAMB disclosed that the exercise is open to both local and foreign candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions in the country.
According to the examination body, all registrations must be carried out strictly at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. Candidates are advised to avoid patronising cyber cafés or unapproved centres, as such registrations will not be recognised by the board.
JAMB further urged prospective candidates to carefully follow the approved registration guidelines and ensure that all required information is correctly provided during the process.
Early registration has also been encouraged to prevent last-minute difficulties that often accompany the closing days of the exercise.
The UTME remains a key requirement for admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
