President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to defeat terrorism and other forms of insecurity, expressing strong confidence in the capabilities of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
Speaking on the nation’s ongoing security challenges, the President commended Ribadu’s leadership and experience, describing him as a committed and capable strategist.
Tinubu assured him of his full support, emphasizing that Nigeria’s security architecture is being strengthened to confront insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities threatening national stability.
Ribadu, a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has long been recognized for his anti-corruption drive and reform-oriented leadership.
As NSA, he is responsible for coordinating intelligence and security operations across the country. His appointment, according to the President, reflects a broader commitment to professionalism, accountability, and strategic reform within Nigeria’s security framework.
Nigeria continues to grapple with insurgency in the North-East, banditry in the North-West, and separatist tensions in parts of the South-East. Tinubu noted that his administration is prioritizing improved intelligence sharing, enhanced military operations, and stronger collaboration among security agencies to address these threats comprehensively.
