It’s Agwa turn to produce Oguta LGA Chairman,Says former Development centre Coordinator,Akajumbo.

The immediate past Coordinator of Agwa Development Centre in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Obinna Modestus Jumbo has insisted that it is their turn to produce the next Chairman of the Council Area come September 21st,2024 Imo LGs election.
Speaking to Newsmen in Owerri during the Stakeholders Meeting on the need to Stop crude Oil theft and bunkering in the Niger Delta Region of Imo State on Tuesday, Hon. Obinna Jumbo said that the bunkering saga has remained a cankerworm in the fabrics of the economic development of the oil riched Council of Ohaji Egbema Oguta and Oru East local Government Areas of the State.

He pointed out that the issue of bunkering and illegal oil mining will be drastically reduced with the creation of Job opportunities. employment for the Youths of the area and Oil Companies operating in the areas honour the MOU with the host communities.

Hon. Obinna Modestus Jumbo who declared interest to run for the Chairmanship position of Oguta was very passionate about the People of Agwa Clan who he described as the major stakeholders of the Niger Delta Region of the State but are politically marginalized.

He unequivocally demanded urgent interventions by ceding the Chairmanship position to the area to pacified the people for the gross marginalization, abandonment and denial of what belongs to them.

He expressed confidence in the high level of impeccable characters of those anticipating to become the Chairman of Oguta LGA from his area including himself while maintaining that he remains the best option considering his wealth of experiences couple with his youthful age.

According to him,”my antecedents in Agwa Development Centre as the Coordinator speak volumes and I known how to place the Council in the part of development inline with the Governor Hope Uzodimma’s 3R vision”.

He explained that since the inception of the administration of the governor Uzodimma as the Executive Governor of Imo State, Agwa people have been throwing their unalloyed supports to the present “Shared Prosperity Government” in Imo State pleading that they should be given the opportunity to produce the next Chairman of Oguta LGA.
