Community leaders in Igbo Communities have been urged to liase with their Royal fathers to defer 2024 New yam festivals as an honour for the souls of two outstanding Igbo Philanthropists , Engr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and Sen. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah that have both passed on.
Hon . Godson Dibe, Imo state Special Adviser on Empowerment who received the President general of Umuna , Comrade Wisdom Esiasor in Owerri disclosed that the calibre of these personalities are so dear to Igbo nation and Nigeria at large.
Hon.Dibe who expressed shock and despair observed that death has touched the fabrics of Igbo unity pillars by the sudden and unexpected demise of the duo when their inputs and connections would have advanced cohesion , unity and vituperations of Igbo race globally.
In his words ” Engr. Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu ,mfr, OfR and CON impacted much towards Empowerment of Igbo youths and environmental challenges that ravaged communities. Dr. Engr Iwuanyanwu meant much not just for Ndigbo but the nation at large earning him global recognition , eventually emerged President -general of Ohaneze Ndigbo . As for Sen . Ifeanyi Ubah, Words cannot quantify contributions and engagements of the young billionaire,. He showed enemous love and Charity to many. The distinguished Senator floated Ifeanyi Ubah United football club just like Iwuanyanwu United that engaged Our youths and Nigerian talents in sports and economic workforce.
Nigeria and Ndi-igbo he noted has lost their eminent leadership inputs as he prayed God to grant peaceful repose of their souls with Comfort and fortitude to families, well wishers and friends.
Hon. Dibe appealed for considerations by royal fathers and Leaders adding that no sacrifice would be much for the duo in appreciation for upcoming generations in Igbo Communities.
Earlier on , the Umuna town Union President -general Comrade Esiasor stated that his visit was to acquaint the Imo state Special Adviser on Empowerment the developments and other issues of goverance. He solicited the governments interventions in areas that will drive home economic values .
