…..As Staff Pour encomium on Comr. Douglas Ikechukwu
The leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ikeduru branch has Marked her one year in office.
Delivering his Key note address at the event which took place at the Council Headquarters Iho, the Branch Chairman of Ikeduru NULGE, Comr Douglas Ikechukwu appreciated the staff and management for the support he and his Executives has enjoyed throughout this one year, he took advantage of the speech time to outline his achievements and promised to make more impacts as he Progresses.
On his Part, the Director of Administration and General Services Chief Comr. Nicholas Uba, commended the Ikeduru Branch NULGE Leadership, for their selfless services and the achievements they have made within such a short period, he however encouraged them to be more dedicated to the discharge of their duties.
Comr Chuks Okoro the State NULGE Trustee who represented the State President Comr. Okey Okere, earlier in his Speech commended Comr. Douglas led Leadership of Ikeduru Branch in the fit achieved so far which Boarders mostly in ensuring that workers demands are met, he also took advantage of the opportunity to inform the esteem staff of Ikeduru that the State Leadership of the Union is not relenting in making sure that worker’s welfare are met.
Adding his Voice in a lighter mood, the Executive Chairman of Ikeduru Rt. Hon Justice Nzeh, the worker’s friendly Chairman ritariated his administrations resolve towards improving the working conditions of Ikeduru Staff, he further charged the workers to be punctual, and committed to duties, pointing out the importance of the 3R manta of his Excellency Dist.Senator Hope Uzodimma the Executive Governor of Imo State.
The event attracted management staff, Members of the legislative Council top among them were, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hon. Emma Iwuamadi, the Secretary of the Ikeduru Local Government, Hon.Bright Ahamefule, the Chief Whip of the Ikeduru Legislative Council, Hon. Stanley Ugo,
Special Adviser to the Chairman on Special Duties, Hon.Isaiah Njoku, SA to the Chairman on Media Amb. Owen Levi.
Others are the Director of Finance/Treasurer of the Council Ugoeze Ngozi Duruoburuo, the Director of Works, Arch Uche Nwosu, the Head Personnel Management, Mrs Chinedum Sam Ajagun, the HOD Planning and Statistics Mr Onyekwere Samuel, HOD Health Mrs Hope Osuji, the HOD Agric Mrs Chineye Uzoigwe, the Internal Auditor Mrs Madu G.O., executives of Staff Welfare, Unit Heads and a host of staff.
In his Closing Remarks, the Chairman of the Planning Committee Comr. Desmond Iwuoha expressed his delight over the success of the event.
The highlight of the event was the cutting of the anniversary cake, unveiling of a STANDARD NOTICE BOARD and group photograph, worthy of Mention is the fact the State President of NULGE Comr. Okey Okere joined in person at the Point of unveiling of the Standard Notice Board Photographs, and made a brief speech in appreciation to the staff and management of Ikeduru.
