Abuja, Nigeria – May 29, 2025 – It’s a moment of celebration at the National Assembly Library Trust Fund, as the institution marks one year of transformative leadership under its pioneer Executive Secretary, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba.
Appointed in 2024, Rt. Hon. Nwawuba was tasked with building the newly established Fund from the ground up — a role he embraced with vision, energy, and purpose. Today, NALTF stands as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing knowledge-based institutions, committed to strengthening legislative processes through research, documentation, and information access.
In just twelve months, the Fund has made commendable progress. It has launched modern library infrastructure, kickstarted digitization programs, and built key partnerships with national and international institutions. These efforts are already improving access to information for lawmakers, researchers, and citizens alike.
At a brief event in Abuja, staff and partners praised Rt. Hon. Nwawuba’s leadership, describing him as a man of capacity, class, and strategic foresight. Many highlighted his ability to turn vision into tangible outcomes within a short time.
