Award Presented During the 2025 Feast of St. Peter Celebration in Oguta, Imo State
In a spirit-filled and joyous ceremony, Hon. Chief Wisdom Ekewuba, Esq., JP, popularly known as the Odenigbo of Igboland and President General of the Owerri Zurumee People’s Assembly, was honoured with the Most Outstanding Service Award by St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Ejemekwuru, under the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri.

The award was conferred during the parish’s 2025 Feast of St. Peter celebration, a spiritually significant annual event that draws the faithful from across Imo State and beyond. The occasion was marked by Holy Mass, praise and worship, and the formal recognition of exceptional service to the Church.
The parish acknowledged Chief Ekewuba for his excellent and selfless contributions toward the work of God in the parish and the Church at large. His steadfast commitment, both spiritual and material, has made a lasting impact on developmental projects and the spiritual growth of the Ejemekwuru parish community and the wider Archdiocese.

Rev. Fr. Fabian Uchechukwu Ikewuba, Parish Priest of St. Peter’s, described the honoree as a true son of the Church whose life reflects genuine faith, sacrificial service, and Christ-centered leadership.
Also present to commend Chief Ekewuba were Mr. Stephen Chidiebere Nwakaego, Chairman of the Feast Committee, and Hon. Ugwunna Dike Stanislaus, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, who both praised his legacy of humility, philanthropy, and unwavering support for the Church.
In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Chief Wisdom Ekewuba expressed gratitude to God and the parish community for the honour. He pledged continued service to God and humanity with humility and love.
The celebration concluded with vibrant praise sessions, cultural performances, and a communal love feast, reinforcing the unity, gratitude, and joy shared by all in attendance.
