South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) Inaugurates Imo Chapter, Empowers Hundreds, Declares Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) officially launched its Imo State chapter with a high-profile inauguration and grassroots empowerment programme held at the Ewayi Civic Center along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri.

The event drew large attendance from all 27 local government areas of the state and featured the distribution of empowerment tools and financial assistance aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance at the grassroots level.

National Coordinator of SERHA, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, declared the group’sp full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. He praised the President’s ongoing commitment to grassroots development and economic reforms, stating that the Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding visible progress across the South East.

Speaking at the event, Deputy National Coordinator, Barr. Chukwudi Anyanwuocha, announced the Federal Government’s approval of a ₦3 billion railway project to link states in the South East, along with a ₦150 billion economic stimulus fund aimed at stabilizing and industrializing the region. He noted that these projects would be implemented under the newly established South East Investment Company.

As part of its empowerment initiative, SERHA distributed items such as mini buses, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdressing equipment, and food supplies. Financial grants were also disbursed, including ₦200,000 each to 100 small businesses, ₦100,000 to another 100, ₦50,000 to an additional 100, and ₦20,000 to 500 widows and vulnerable citizens. Two visually impaired beneficiaries received ₦50,000 cheques each, nominated by the Imo State Ministry of Youth Development and Talent Hunt.

Chief Sir Justus Ogu, the Imo State SERHA Coordinator, commended both President Tinubu and Governor Hope Uzodimma for their leadership and development-focused agendas. He pledged that SERHA would continue mobilizing support for the President’s 2027 re-election across every ward and community.

Dr. Lady Dorathy Mirikwe, representing the state Ministry of Youth Development, reaffirmed the commitment of Imo youths to President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, describing his administration as transformational.

The event concluded with the official presentation of empowerment items, disbursement of funds, and a collective call for unity and development under the Renewed Hope Agenda as the 2027 elections approach.
