In continuation of his avowed dedication and commitment to the service of God and humanity, a philanthropist of note, High Chief M.C. Obi, (Ugwu Mbaise Gburigburu) and family have rebuilt two dilapidated school buildings at Eziudo Central Primary School, Ezinihite, in Ezinihite Mbaise LGA of Imo State.
The building carefully redesigned to guarantee a conducive learning environment, is amazingly equiped with ultra modern facilities in line with global standard and best practices
The Ezinihite born philanthropist and business tycoon also provided the school with both bathroom and water system toilet facilities for ease and convenience of teachers and pupils during school hours, sinking a water borehole as well as installing solar powered electricity in the school premises.
He equally donated, to the government owned school, foreign tables and seats for the school headmaster and all teachers,
To ensure the pupils comfort and convenience during lessons, Ugwumbaise and family moved further to supply the school with 50 units of four-pupil-per-row desks.
He also supplied the school with 100 pieces of sporting outfits for both teachers and pupils to promote Physical Education (P.E) and other sporting activities amongst the pupils.
Further more, the family donated books, pens and other writing materials for all pupils of the school to ameliorate the current economic pressure on their parents.
The ultra modern school buildings, will no sooner than later, be handed back to the Imo State Government through the Ezinihite Mbaise LGA education authority which had earlier inspected and given approval of the renovated school buildings.
It is worthy of note that this is not the first time High Chief M. C. Obi in partnership with his amiable wife, Lolo, Chief Mrs. Stella Obi, (Osodieme) would display uncommon act of charity and benevolence to promote infrastructural and human capital development of his people.
Other projects previously executed by the family include but not limited to, annual road grading in Eziudo Community, sponsorship of skill acquisition and empowerment programmes for the youths and indigent women.
The family had equally undertaken the rebuilding of Umuore-Eziudo Community Health Center, securing the premises with modern fence alongside security a house.
The family had also built at the health center, an Ulta modern doctors and nurses quarters equipping it with high solar powered borehole as well a building and fully furnishing male and female wards.
This is in addition to regular defraying of funds by the family for procurement of medications, payment of security personnel and staff of the health center.
