The Code of Conduct Bureau has disclosed that it has commenced investigations involving some serving ministers and other senior government officials over alleged breaches of the code of conduct.
The bureau said the ongoing probes are part of its mandate to uphold transparency and accountability in public service, stressing that all public officers are subject to the law.
According to the CCB, the investigations are being carried out in line with due process, with those affected given the opportunity to respond to the allegations levelled against them.
The agency maintained that the exercise is non political and aimed at reinforcing ethical standards in governance while restoring public confidence in public institutions.
It added that appropriate action would be taken upon the conclusion of the investigations, in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
