The Wife of the Archdeacon of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church , Umuguma , Mrs Chigekwu Nwebo has called on Christian Women to draw closer to the full knowledge of God .
Speaking with newsmen on the essence of the Mother’s day celebration , the Archdeacon’s wife said this year’s theme which is : ” Women , Do You Know him ? ” , Is apt . She said the theme came at a time when women all over Christianson are required to know God more and more .
She informed newsmen that the theme was taken from the book of Mathew 16 : 15 , which tells the story how Jesus asked his followers to tell him whom people say he is . Despite all responses from his followers , Peter answered correctly that Jesus is the Son of God.
Mrs Nwebo said when Christ is in the life of a woman, he will direct her affairs and reveal things to her . She said when the light of God is in the life of a woman , it will radiate light in the life of the person to the level that it will touch the lives of others . She said it is a way of preaching the Gospel .
The Archdeacon’s wife , Mrs Nwebo also called on women and Christians in general to pray to God when they are in trials and tribulations . She emphasized on the need to know God more and more even as they pray .
She said that God will make a way we’re there seems to be no way in times of suffering . She illustrated that if light falls on a dark compound , darkness disappears .
