The Imo Development Champions (IDC) Competitions has been unveiled in Owerri, with the aim of equipping young people with skills and confidence to take discover their dreams and take the future in their strides
In his welcome address, during the unveiling ceremony, the founder of Imo Development Champions Competitions , Hon Dr Ugochukwu Williams noted that the forum is a community development competition which operates in 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State. He added that the forum, helps young people to discover and establish their dreams.
” The Imo Development Champions helps young people to find their purpose, passion and place in Imo and the world at large. We believe that equipping young people with skills and confidence to discover their potentials and make positive difference not only to them, but the communities they live in. Imo Development Champions is an avenue to stimulate creative development projects among young people on issues regarding our nation , Imo and their own communities”.
Dr Williams disclosed the next agenda mapped out to add positive changes on communities . He said that the participants should choose a project which they will carried out in their reactive community . And participants with the best project will be giving an award that will be tagged: “Award Of Development Projects” , with the cash grant of 500.000 .
To this effect , members’ of Imo Development Champions’ embers’ who wish to apply are advised to register through the link and register indicating the projects they wish to execute.
Other dignitaries that spoke on inspiration talk during the unveiling ceremony include Dr Ezekiel Abayomi Jimoh of Look And Live Salvation End Time Ministry , Engr. Chidomere Ndubuisi , present , Palmtech Group , Mrs Odochi Williams, Dr Obinna Egbuka , Hon Dr Adaure Ohaebosim ,Mr Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu among others .
The event was well attended by students in Imo and beyond , young and future Innovators , some founders of organizations and the general public.
