Ahead of the Imo Local Government elections, scheduled to hold on 21st of September, 2024 , members of Azuzu Ward III have pledged their supports to Hon Evans Anozie , who is aspiring for Owerri Municipal Chairman.
Speaking during an in-house meeting in Owerri, the convener of the meeting, Hon Chinedu Mba , said that the essence of the gathering is for the people of Azuzu Ward III to endorse and pledge their political support to Hon Anozie. He noted that Hon Anozie has done marvelously well for the people of Owerri municipal. Added that everyone will benefit in the administration of Owerri municipal if he is elected as the local government chairman.
The campaign Coordinator of Hon Evans Anozie campaign , Hon David Okoko , described the aspirant as a selfless leader whose leadership prowess speaks volumes in Owerri municipal and beyond. Hon Okoko noted that he ( Hon Anozie) has paid his dues and contributed positively in the lives of Owerri people, added that this is the time for them to give him massive supports , so that he will continue his good works
The Secretary of the Campaign , Hon Austin Kenna Nnwere , described Hon Anozie as a grassroot politician who have made a positive impacts both on peoples’ lives and in All Progressives Party (APC) as a political party. He urged people to support him, assured that he will do well if elected.
Hon Mrs Ebere Nwogu , the woman leader of the campaign group, said that they will not regret giving their supports to Hon Anozie. She maintained that they are going to benefit lots of things, if he emerges as the council boss.
The Government Liaison officer of Azuzu Ward III, Alhaji Ibrahim Onyeagocha , attested that Hon Anozie has done noble in Owerri Municipal, assured that they are going to support him.
Azuzu Ward III councilor ship aspirant , Hon Polycarp Onuoha , said that Hon Anozie has made positive impacts on humanity and in politics. Maintained that he will do well if elected as the council boss.
Hon Joseph Ezekwesiri assured that they are going to support him. He said that the aspirant is a selfless leader that like to carry everyone along regardless of where the person is from.
Former Secretary of New Market, Mazi Marcellinus Ugwuegbulam , said that Hon Anozie deserve to be elected as local government chairman, so as he will continue with his good works. He pledged his support to him.
Others that pledged their supports include , the immediate past councilor of Azuzu Ward III, Hon Israel Iwuji , Azuzu Ward III APC vice chairman, Alhaji Abdulahi Jaba . Chapter chairman, Nekede Machanic Village, Mr Jonathan Nnorom , among others.
Responding, Hon Anozie , appreciated those that graced the event. He assured them that he will run an exclusive government. He promised that many lives will be touched positively. He promised to give soft loans to traders. He noted that under his government Owerri municipal constituents will experience an excellent leadership.
Finally, vote of thanks was made by Alhaji Onyeagocha . He thanked everyone that attended the gathering. He begged them not to relent in their promise.
