As the bible admonishes in first thessalonians5:18 and Psalm 100:4, some Nigerian medical professionals and members of the Zion Ministry in the United kingdom, joined other friends of Mrs. Nnadi Ukaegbu to praise and thank God for her Eziada merit award from the Catholic Diocese of Orlu last week Sunday.
The celebration ceremony for Mrs. Ukaegbu's Eziada merit award at RockView Hotel Owerri, was well attended by dignitaries from all walks of life like the Imo State Hon. Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chika Abazu, the CEO of a newly produced drink called Zollo bitters and head of admins for the , African leaders in Zion Ministry, Mr. Christian Nnajiudo. Other prominent key personalities that added colours to the occasion, were the United Kingdom Medical Sisters of Zion Ministry led by Sister Ezigbo Tina Ibe, Sister Petronila Njoku, Sister Chinonyelum Anyaene, Sister Jacinta Nwaneri, Sister Nkechi Oguejifor, Sister Susan Ukachinwa, Sister Josephine Orizu, Sister Jane Jeoman and Sister Theresa from Gambia.
Fielding questions from newsmen on the award ceremony which gladly featured varieties of sumptuous African foods, Mrs. Ukaegbu Stated that she is deeply honoured and humbled by the award. She remarks that she had never immagined that her efforts towards human capital development, were being observed. In her words, " This recognition encourages me to continue in my service to humanity with even greater passion". " I am thankful to God and the Church for finding me worthy of this honour" Speaking on the indispensable roles of Women, Mrs. Ukaegbu appeals that women in Nigeria are expected to champion the peace, progress and development programs and concepts of the society.
Talking on their impression for the awardee, the spokesperson for the UK friends , Sister Ezigbo Tina Ibe commended Mrs. Ukaegbu for the meritorious award. She describes her as a woman of vision, a self disciplined woman, a good learner and doer, a well focussed and trustworthy leader who is always willing to improve on her achievements with the right attitude. She therefore prayed for God to continue to give her good health and wisdom.
