Christians Charged On Love, As CCC Owerri Central Parish Emmanuel Cathedral Holds Harvest, Thanksgiving

Worshippers of Celestial Church of Christ Owerri Central Parish Emmanuel Cathedral, Old Road, Nekede, including invitees, were filled with joy and excitement as the Church held its 2024 Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving.

The 2024 Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving which was themed “Harvest of Divine Accomplishment”, saw persons of note from all walks of life including the Shepherd in Charge of Lugbe Central Cathedral, Abuja, Most. Sup. Evang. Prophet Philip Olarotimi Olumbori, the South East Regional Head, Ven. Sup. Evang. Solomon Ominum, the Shepherd in Charge of Owerri Central Parish Emmanuel Cathedral Old Road Nekede, Sup. Evang. Prophet Donatus Anyiam, other servants of the Most High God and special invitees, gracing it.

In an interview with journalists, the South East Regional Head, Ven. Sup. Evang. Solomon Ominum, said the worshippers did quite marvelously to observe the Harvest and Thanksgiving, an event he added would always re-vibrate the consciousness of the congregants to heavenly activities.

While thanking God for His abundance grace, success and strength to the Church, the Shepherd in Charge of CCC Owerri Central Parish Emmanuel Cathedral, Old Road Nekede, Sup. Evang. Prophet Donatus Anyiam, hinted that they have worshipped God on the Parish Ground for eight years, saying it is a great thing to serve God faithfully and on the ground of the new edifice too, a temple he attributed to God’s bliss, direction and strength.

“The 2024 Adult Harvest, Thanksgiving, was a thing worth celebrating. Hence we express our sincere gratitude to Almighty God, as well as appreciate all and sundry for their rich support. Indeed, God’s love helped us to make this year’s Harvest of Divine Accomplishment a huge success”, Prophet Anyiam maintained.

Reflecting that the women wing of the Church were happy over the success and growth of the Parish, the Parish Mother, Celestia Calista Anyiam, added that the Harvest/Thanksgiving was marked to express gratitude to God for His goodness, sustenance and wisdom.

In his sermon earlier, the Shepherd in Charge of CCC Lugbe Central Cathedral Abuja, Most Sup. Evang. Prophet Philip Olarotimi Olumbori, charged christians to show love to their neighbors any where, any day without any string attached, just as he affirmed that humility is a virtue that attracts God’s blessing, grace, sustenance.

“Rapture is real. So, prepare yourself. Strive for righteousness so that you can be counted worthy in the presence of God. Do good. Behave godly. Love, help your neighbor as you demonstrate humility to God and humanity. I hence pray for the peace of mankind”, Evangelist Olumbori reiterated.

Just as the Chairman of the Harvest Committee, Bro. Chinedu Anyiam, prayed to God to continue to sustain the Church, strengthen worshipers, even as he wished those who graced the event from far and near flourishing life.

The highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of Awards to deserving persons among who is Chief Austin Obi (Parish Grand Patron) – spurred by his great contributions to the growth of the Parish.
