It was a day of joy, gratitude, and renewed hope in Irete Autonomous Community, Owerri West LGA, as Hon. Prince Osinachi Amako, fondly called Mr. Empowerment or Prince No Vex, hosted his highly anticipated “No Vex Business/Skill Empowerment Programme” on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The event, which pulled a massive crowd from across the 10 INEC wards of Owerri West, was more than just a ceremony it was a celebration of self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and grassroots transformation.

Dozens of local youths and artisans went home with essential vocational tools, including 25 grinding machines, 25 inverter welding machines, filing machines, welding blades, safety jackets, and protective gloves. For many of them, it wasn’t just a gift it was a new beginning.

Prince Amako, who also serves as the Executive Council Vice Chairman of Owerri West and Coordinating Chairman of the 27 LGA Vice Chairmen in Imo State, didn’t hold back his passion as he addressed the crowd.

This is not politics. This is purpose, he said. “God has blessed me through my Bet9ja business journey, and it’s only right that I use that blessing to uplift others. The real wealth is in how many people you help rise not just how much you make.

He urged beneficiaries to put their tools to good use, start businesses, grow their craft, and become employers of labour. “You don’t need to wait for government jobs. You can create your own economy, he declared, drawing cheers from the energetic crowd.

The programme didn’t just turn heads it turned hearts. Imo APC Chairman of Owerri West LGA, Hon. Humphrey Umunnakwe, praised Prince Amako as a leader who leads with action, not just words.

In times like this, what our people need is real empowerment, not empty promises. Prince Amako is showing what leadership should look like—compassionate, impactful, and practical, he said.

Other political stakeholders and community leaders in attendance echoed similar sentiments, describing the initiative as a breath of fresh air for the people of Owerri West.

Prince Amako has become a household name not only for his charisma and humility, but for his consistent drive to make a difference through his “No Vex Movement”. From scholarships to business support, and now vocational tools, his vision is clear equip the people, and the people will build the future.

Many beneficiaries could barely contain their excitement as they received their tools with smiles and tears. This is the opportunity I’ve been praying for, said one young welder. With this machine, I can finally open my own workshop.

As the event came to a close, one thing was clear this wasn’t just an empowerment programme. It was a movement in motion. A promise made and kept.

With more programmes already in the works, Prince Osinachi Amako is setting a new standard for leadership, one empowerment at a time.
