Dangote Unveils Nationwide Hotline to Expose Fuel Price Violations at MRS Stations

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has launched a nationwide hotline for reporting MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations selling petrol above the approved pump price of N739 per litre.

The refinery announced that the hotline, 0800 123 5264, is now active across the country, allowing motorists and fuel buyers to report any MRS outlet that violates the agreed pricing. This follows the recent rollout of premium motor spirit at N739 per litre through MRS stations nationwide.

According to the refinery, the move is aimed at curbing profiteering, enforcing compliance, and ensuring Nigerians benefit from reduced fuel costs. With thousands of MRS outlets involved, the hotline provides a direct channel for the public to report abuses and support swift action against erring stations.

Industry observers say the initiative reflects Dangote’s commitment to price stability, transparency, and consumer protection in the downstream petroleum sector, at a time when fuel prices remain a major concern for households and businesses.

Consumers have been encouraged to report any station selling above N739 per litre, providing details such as location and time of purchase where possible, to aid investigation and enforcement.

The move signals a firm stance against price manipulation and reinforces ongoing efforts to promote fairness and accountability in fuel distribution across Nigeria.
