Dr. Okeke Nnamdi Congratulates Dr. Emily Nzeribe On Her Appointment As FMC Okigwe Medical Director

A prominent member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Imo State Chapter, Dr. Okeke Nnamdi has congratulated Dr. Emily Akuabia Nzeribe on her appointment as the substantive Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Okigwe.

In a congratulatory massage issued on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Dr. Okeke described Dr. Nzeribe’s appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well-deserved, noting her extensive experience as a Chief Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.

Dr. Okeke, who serves as the National Assistant Secretary-General (South-East Zone) of the NMA, expressed confidence in Dr. Nzeribe’s ability to effectively manage the affairs of the institution and drive rapid transformation, positioning the medical centre as a leading healthcare facility in the region.

“It is my prayer that God will help you bring your experience as a seasoned Chief Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to bear in managing the affairs of the facility as well as ensure speedy transformation from its present status to an enviable centre,” Dr. Okeke’s felicitations to Dr. Nzeribe stated.

He also extended his appreciation to key government officials for their roles in the appointment process, describing the choice of Dr. Nzeribe as the Medical Director of FMC Okigwe as thoughtful and progressive.

“My heartfelt gratitude goes to the following: – the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria – His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare – Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Executive Governor of Imo State – His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma and the Honourable Commissioner for Health and Social Services, Imo State – Dr. Chioma Vivian Egu,” he stated.

Reiterating his goodwill, Dr. Okeke wished Dr. Nzeribe success in her new role and prayed for wisdom and strength as she assumes leadership of the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Okigwe.
