A fresh political storm is brewing within the Peoples Democratic Party as Nyesom Wike delivers one of his most forceful warnings yet to a rival bloc linked to Adamu Maina Waziri, widely known as Turaki.

In a bold and uncompromising tone, Wike threw down the gauntlet, daring the faction to go ahead and establish a parallel structure while making it clear that any such move would be swiftly countered. He said open a secretariat open a bank account try it. He added that he will bring it down and that nobody will operate illegally under the party name.

The remarks have intensified the already simmering crisis within the PDP, transforming internal disagreements into an open confrontation. What had been quiet tensions behind closed doors is now a visible power struggle, with both sides standing firm.

Wike, known for his blunt political style and significant influence, framed his stance as a defense of order within the party. According to him, allowing factions to operate independently would create confusion and weaken the party strength as a major political force.

He stressed that this is not a free for all and that there must be structure and leadership. He said no one can belong to the party and still run a separate system.

Meanwhile, supporters of the Turaki aligned faction argue that their position is driven by the need for internal democracy and inclusiveness. They claim that certain voices within the party have been sidelined, making reform necessary.

The clash highlights deeper divisions over leadership, control, and the future direction of the PDP. Political observers warn that if the rift continues to widen, it could affect the party unity and overall effectiveness ahead of future elections.

Efforts to ease tensions are reportedly ongoing, but with strong personalities involved and positions hardening, reconciliation may prove difficult. For now, Wike message remains firm that any attempt to create parallel structures within the party will face decisive opposition.
