To All Compatriots, Home and Abroad,
On behalf of the Imo State & South East Council of Traditional Rulers and the entire traditional institution of Imo State, I warmly felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, our Governor Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma, CON (ONWA OYOKO) and all Nigerians as we mark our nation’s 66th Independence Day Anniversary.
Sixty-six years as a sovereign nation is a monumental milestone that calls for deep reflection, gratitude to the Almighty, and a renewed commitment to our collective destiny. While our journey has been tested by various economic, social, and security challenges, our resilience as a people remains our greatest strength.
As custodians of our culture and peace, the traditional institution stands firm in its resolve to foster unity, security, and mutual understanding across all communities. We commend the federal and state governments for their continuous efforts toward infrastructural development and regional inclusion, particularly across the South East.
I urge all Nigerians to shun divisive tendencies, embrace peace, and support initiatives aimed at national development.
Let us use this anniversary not just for celebration, but as an opportunity for sober reflection and patriotic alignment to build the Nigeria of our dreams.
May this 66th Independence Anniversary usher in an era of sustainable peace, economic revitalization, and unparalleled progress for our dear country.
