A prominent indigene of Imo State and a former Vice-chairman of Owerri North LGA, Hon. Dozie Julius, on Saturday, August 17, received a prestigious “Omeziringaobi I of Obokwu Avu Award” from the Obokwu Women Assembly (OWA) Avu in Owerri West LGA of Imo State. The event which took place at Obokwu Primary School, Avu, was part of the activities marking the 2024 August Meeting of the women of the area which attracted dignitaries from far and near.
Hon. Julius, who is also the Imo State President, Association of Artisans Development (ASSARD);
a celebrated community leader and astute politician, was the delight of the attendees at the award ceremony, given his numerous community development initiatives, human empowerment activities and his ingenuity in business and craft. The “Omeziringaobi I of Avu Award” added to the gallery of awards to his credit from different quarters, and thus making him a major reference point for good reasons.
Presenting the award, the President General of OWA, Ezinne Sabina Anukam, who appreciated Hon. Julius, disclosed that the women group had observed with delight the awardee’s outstanding achievements and contributions towards the growth of Obokwu Avu Community, hence the honour. She thanked him for identifying with the assembly, and wished him success in his endeavours in the community.
Responding, Hon. Julius, who was visibly elated, thanked the women assembly for finding him worthy of the honour. He made it known that his actions are always inspired by God, hence he finds himself being motivated to contribute towards making his environment and the larger society better. He assured that he would continue to make positive impacts both in community development and human empowerment in the area.
The Imo State Master Super Agent of KC Gaming Networks, owners of Bet9ja sports betting brand, used the opportunity and appreciated those who accompanied him to the event, including those from Amakohia Uratta led by his elder brother, Mr. Obinna Anyadike and his business associates from Avu Mechanic and Artisans’ Village, Bet9ja and some financial institutions in the state among others.
Fielding questions from our reporter, one of his guests, Oha Everest Oguchuruba, noted that the award to Hon. Julius by Obokwu Women Assembly was a testimony of his good works which the people of Amakohia Uratta and other areas of Owerri North LGA have benefitted so much from. He described him as their worthy son who has always been spotted out for appreciation as he wished him God’s continuous blessings .
While Prince Udoh David, a financial expert said: “Hon Dozie Julius is my very good friend, a vibrant young man and business mogul. He loves people around and desires the development of young people. He is very creative, always brining new innovations to impact people positively as well as driving community development in any environment he finds himself. One good thing about him is his integrity in his dealings. I’m proud to associate with him.”
On his own, the chairman, Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATAN) Imo State Council, Hon. Kyrian Nnadi (JP) described Hon. Julius as a humble and progressive person who has distinguished himself admirably. “Hon. Dozie Julius is an honest and development oriented person. I really appreciate what God did to him and using him to accomplish in the society. This award shows how people appreciate his good works. I congratulate him and pray that God will continue to elevate him.
Similarly, Hon. Joseph Uba, a leading All Progressive Congress (APC) councillorship aspirant for Avu/Oforola Ward, hailed Hon. Julius for being a progressive leader, hinting that the awardee since coming to Avu has demonstrated strong commitments towards the growth of the community and the empowerment of the youths, as he urged more collaborations with him.
