Hon. Thaddeus Nkemjika Eke, has been elected the new Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), Imo state chapter.
The Ohaji-Egbema-born politician emerged with an overwhelming support from members during the party’s congress held last weekend in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
He emerged alongside Agunwa Chukwuma who is the Deputy Chairman, Egbeh Henry, the Secretary, Mrs Chika Nwapuihe who was elected the new Treasurer, among others.
Speaking immediately after his emergence as the new Chairman of the party, Hon. Nkemjika Thaddeus Eke said, “it was the Lord’s doing that I pilot the affairs of the party in the state.
“The election was free and fair. As you can see, various other executive positions were also elected. There was a full participation of members and delegates from the 27 LGAs in the state. The turnout was impressive as you can see for yourself.
“Our party AA must surely bounce back in Imo state under my leadership. Under this party, we will take over power come 2027 because this is the party that has strong acceptability from the Imo populace.
“Meanwhile, our party is open to welcome new entrants and I have assured a level playing field for all members and intending members.”
He thanked the National Working Committee of the party of their involvement and supervision during the congress, promising to sustain its legacies and project the party to great heights.
Speaking with Chief Nwaneri Goodluck Chidera, a philanthropist and business guru of Ikeduru extraction, he described Nkemjika’s emergence as the new chairman of AA in Imo state as a new dawn for the party.
He said, although the party had suffered a little setback in the past, under Nkemjika’s leadership, he hoped the party will surely take it’s rightful position in the state.
He urged other executive members and teeming members of the party to rally round the new chairman in seeing that the party is projected to an enviable height.
Other executive members elected alongside the chairman were; the Financial Secretary, Mr. Chibueze Okechukwu, Auditor Kingsley Nsodum, Organizing Secretary, Mr. Okechukwu Ibeh, Publicity Secretary, Dickson Ekejuba, Woman Leader, Mrs Favour Amajuoyi, Legal Adviser, Chief Okafor, Youth Leader, Nwaihu Paschal among others.
