The Executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State, Evangelist Chika Israel Okoroike, on Tuesday, 18th February, 2025, presented the 2025 budget estimate of #5,753,573,910. to the council’s legislative house for scrutiny and approval.
Presenting the budget christened ” Budget of Holistic Economic Development” Okoroike stated that the estimate was to replicate and sustain the 3R policy of Senator Hope Uzodimma to make life more meaningful to the rural dwellers.

Breakdown of the budget revealed that the sum of #5,763,855,160, representing. 93 percent of the total budget, was earmarked for Capital expenditure while recurrent expenditure received #1,251,414,810. representing 7%.
The council boss emphasized that the policy objectives of the budget proposal was to stimulate rapid and holistic economic, social and infrastructural development in the LGA, in line with state objectives of the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Uzodimma.
Okoroike identified some of his administration’s focal areas to include Human Capital Development, Education, Health Services and Infrastructure.
Others are Efficient Service Delivery, Grassroots Development and Exploration of Natural Resources as well as Improved Security Network and Development of Science and Technology.
He therefore, urged the legislative house to approve the budget proposal in order to unlock the economic potentials of the local government area.

Earlier in his address, the leader of Isiala Mbano legislature, Rt. Hon Okechukwu Mgbeosuru, applauded Okoroike for remaining focused in the discharge of his duties as the Executive Chairman of the LGA.
He commended the chairman for attracting and piloting the recovery of Nkwo Mbaa erosion site and for undertaking the construction of a befitting secretariat at the council headquarters, Umuelemai.
He however, promised that the house would subject the 2025 budget proposal to thorough scrutiny and also ensure that funds would be judiciously allocated and prudently utilized to address core needs of the people.
Okoroike was accompanied during the budget presentation by the Executive Vice Chairman of the LGA, Mrs. Stella Laz Onyema, Secretary of the council, Hon Uzochukwu Iwuagwu, his Chief of Staff, Hon Golden Uzowuru and the council’s members of staff.
