On Thursday, November 28, 2024, the Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (OCCIMA) hosted a transformative ceremony, the 2024 Business Leadership Awards, honoring exceptional contributions to commerce, governance, and innovation. The grand event, held at the prestigious Rockview Hotel in Owerri, Imo State, served as a powerful platform to recognize individuals and organizations shaping the region’s economic and social progress.
Under the theme “Fostering Public-Private Alliances for Lasting Economic Growth in Imo State,” the awards emphasized the critical role of collaboration between government entities, businesses, and communities. Leading the list of honorees was Ambassador Collins Ugorji, a seasoned legislative expert and candidate for the Mbaitoli Local Government Council Chairmanship in the upcoming elections.
