The Chairman of Imo Entrepreneurs/Chairman, Imo State Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP), Engr Lumanze Bismarck, has commended the Minister of State, Finance, Hon. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite for distributing Christmas and New Year palliatives to Imo State indigines, describing the gesture as thoughtful and impactful from a worthy daughter of the state.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Owerri, the Imo Entrepreneurs/ ATWAP Chairman, noted that such humanitarian intervention from Dr. Uzoka-Anite came at the right time given the biting economic hardships in the country, which had subjected millions of households in Nigeria into penury, hence any help offered towards them brings enormous positive impacts and invaluable relief.
Lumanze, a seasoned entrepreneur, further expressed pride in what he described as distinguishing characteristics of the minister both in private life and public service, referring to her as a great daughter of Imo State. He acknowledged with delight the administrative prowess and successes recorded by Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite as a former Imo State Commissioner for Finance, Minister of Trade and Investment in addition to her present portfolio.
His statement: “It’s with delight that I, Hon Engr Bismarck Lumanze, the Imo State Chairman of the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) acknowledge and appreciate the Honourable Minister of State (Finance), Hon. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite for her great philanthropic gestures towards the people of Imo State, demonstrated through the distribution of Christmas and New Year palliatives to the indigines of the state.
“This motherly intervention no doubt was well thought-out as well as came at the appropriate time towards bringing succour and joy to the people of the state who share with other Nigerians the burden of the current economic challenges in the country. At the time when many people could not afford basic needs because of skyrocked prices of commodities, Hon. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite came to the rescue with palliatives distribution of far-reaching impact to the Imo people.
“By this act of charity and humanity, deserving of accolades, our dear minister has further endeared herself to many who are already thrilled by her amiable characteristics which underpin her excellent performances in public assignments. It’s good to note with pride Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite’s tact, excellence and special brilliance as a former Imo State Commissioner for Finance; Minister of Trade and Investment and her current position as the Minister of State (Finance).
“While we continue to celebrate a great daughter of Imo State for making the state proud, I’m confident and delighted that her humanitarian gesture to the Imo people through palliatives distribution had provided the needed support and sustenance against hunger and depression among the beneficiaries in the state. I encourage other privileged Imo indigines to emulate Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite in assisting our people overcome various challenges.
“Let me state the need for synergy and support to Governor Hope Uzodimma, whose Shared Prosperity Government has been engineering the transformation of the state.
