The Capacity and workaholic Executive Chairman of Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State,Hon.Prince Marcel C. N. Amadioha on Friday 23rd May,2025 embarked on a critical site inspection tour to ascertain the level of erosion menace at the severely eroded portion of the Etekwuru Community Link Road connecting Etekwuru Sections I & II, Imo and Rivers States.
Visibly dismayed by the extent of damage and neglect he met at the site, Hon. Amadioha did not mince words in expressing his concern over the dilapidated Road.
He described the situation as “deeply troubling” and emphasized the urgent need for a swift and coordinated intervention to halt further deterioration and protect both local and public infrastructure.
Addressing residents and Community Leaders who accompanied him on the tour, the Chairman reassured all present of his unwavering commitment to mobilizing Imo State Government and relevant Federal Agencies for immediate remedial action.
“This is not just a Road; it is a lifeline for the people of Etekwuru and neighboring Communities. Its continued erosion poses a grave threat to economic activities and the daily lives of our citizens,” he stated.
Hon. Amadioha affirmed that he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that sustainable solutions are provided promptly, highlighting that proactive governance and people-centered leadership remain his guiding principles.
The Chairman’s visit and forthright engagement with the Community drew widespread commendation from the witnessing indigenes, who expressed confidence in his responsive leadership and appreciated his readiness to stand with them in times of infrastructural, economic and environmental distress.
As efforts begin to take shape behind the scenes, residents are hopeful that this renewed attention will translate into tangible changes,improvements and lasting durability for not only the Link Road but also for their various sociopolitical and economic challenges.
