Prominent political figure Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027. Speaking at a high-profile event in Owerri, Nwosu also introduced the “City Boy Movement,” a new political platform aimed at mobilizing Nigerians—especially the youth and professionals—to actively support the President’s vision for national progress.

The occasion was the Investiture Ceremony of Town Planner Ukanwa Austin Ugoh and the inauguration of the 2024/2025 Executive Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Imo State Chapter. Held on June 6, 2025, at Westbrook Hotel, New Owerri, the event combined professional excellence with a call for political engagement.

Nwosu lauded Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting his administration’s focus on economic reforms, infrastructure development, and national security as essential to Nigeria’s sustained growth.

“If you believe in progress, unity, and a better future for our nation, I encourage you to be part of the City Boy Movement as we look ahead to 2027. Contact me if you want to join,” Nwosu said, stressing the importance of active citizen participation in governance.

The newly inaugurated NITP Chairman for Imo State, TPL Ukanwa Austin Ugoh, thanked members for their trust and vowed to champion sustainable urban planning and strategic collaborations to drive development in Imo and beyond.

The event underscored the shared responsibility of political and professional sectors in advancing Nigeria’s growth and urban transformation.
