The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced 120 as the minimum score for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening. The decision was made during a meeting held earlier today by the Committee of Provost and Deans in the Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room.
According to the university, any candidate who scores below 120 in the Post-UTME will not be considered for admission, even if they have a high score in JAMB.
This new cut-off mark is to guide the admission process and ensure a fair standard across all departments. However, some courses may require scores higher than 120, especially those that attract many applicants.
The announcement is important for students hoping to gain admission into the university in the new academic session. It also follows efforts to improve the quality of students entering higher institutions.
Even though the general cut-off is 120, courses like Medicine, Law, Engineering, and Pharmacy usually need much higher scores. Students applying for such courses are advised to prepare well and aim for better results.
Details about the screening, including how to apply, important dates, and departmental cut-off marks, will be shared soon on the university’s official website.
Students and parents are encouraged to follow official updates and avoid relying on unverified sources.
