In a significant development ahead of the forthcoming Anambra Gubernatorial Election, renowned Imo State activist and political commentator, Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis, popularly known as OluImo, has been officially accredited as an Election Observer by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
OluImo is set to lead the observation team under the banner of Human Life Protection Advocacy Initiative (HLPAI), a civil society organization recently enlisted among the accredited bodies to monitor the electoral process in Anambra State. This accreditation marks another milestone in his consistent advocacy for democratic transparency, civic responsibility, and good governance.
The inclusion of HLPAI in INEC’s official list of observers underscores the growing recognition of grassroots civil society organizations in promoting credible elections in Nigeria. Under OluImo’s leadership, the organization has pledged to conduct its assignment with diligence, integrity, and impartiality—ensuring accurate reporting and contributing to a free, fair, and peaceful election process.
In his statement following the accreditation, Prince Maduba expressed gratitude to INEC for the trust reposed in HLPAI and reaffirmed his commitment to democratic ideals and the protection of electoral integrity.
“We consider this a solemn responsibility and a call to serve democracy. We shall discharge our duties with utmost transparency and sincerity, putting the interest of the people and the nation above all else,” OluImo stated.
