The former lawmaker applauds Uzodimma for redefining governance through massive road projects and visible transformation across Imo State.
Imo State has continued to attract widespread commendation for its ongoing transformation, particularly in the area of road infrastructure. One of the latest to applaud the state’s developmental strides is the Member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, who recently praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for his leadership and commitment to improving the state’s road network.
During a recent visit to Imo, Rt. Hon. Nwawuba expressed delight over the visible infrastructural renewal taking place across the state. In an unscheduled chat with a friend who was equally amazed by the new look of Imo, Nwawuba described the governor’s developmental efforts as transformative and result-oriented, noting that Uzodimma’s vision for a modern Imo is gradually becoming a reality.
According to Nwawuba, the road projects executed by the Uzodimma-led administration have not only improved mobility within the state but have also boosted economic growth and the quality of life for residents. He noted that the once dilapidated and impassable roads that plagued various communities in the past have now been replaced with durable, well-constructed routes that are helping trade, investment, and social integration.
Governor Uzodimma deserves commendation for what he is doing in Imo State, Nwawuba stated. You can see the difference the moment you drive into Owerri and other parts of the state. The roads are well constructed, the drainage systems are properly done, and there is a clear sense of order and progress. This is what good governance should look like.
The former lawmaker also highlighted that the improved infrastructure has positioned Imo as an emerging hub for business and tourism in the South East region. He urged residents and political stakeholders to support the governor’s developmental agenda, noting that continuity in governance is essential for sustainable progress.
Observers have equally noted that under Governor Uzodimma’s leadership, Imo has witnessed a turnaround in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare. Roads such as the Owerri-Orlu dual carriageway, Owerri-Okigwe Road, and several strategic urban link roads have either been completed or are nearing completion, improving intra-state connectivity.
Rt. Hon. Nwawuba’s commendation adds to the growing list of endorsements from political leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders who have acknowledged the governor’s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects.
As Imo continues on its path of transformation, many believe that Governor Uzodimma’s infrastructural drive will remain a defining legacy of his administration, one that shows his resolve to make the state a model of development, progress, and prosperity.
