The Associate Dean Student Affairs of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES), Umuagwo, Imo State, Dr. Emma Mbanusi, has expressed delight over the successful maiden convocation of the institution, describing the ceremony as a significant milestone in the history of the young university.
Dr. Mbanusi, in a ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ก๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ obtained by this reporter, said he was particularly excited by the remarkable achievements recorded by UAES since its inception and commencement of academic activities in 2022, noting that the progress made by the institution within a relatively short period was worthy of commendation.
He specifically hailed the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Christopher Eze, for what he described as effective leadership and strategic navigation of the institution to its present enviable height.
According to him, Professor Eze’s academic and administrative prowess, coupled with his commitment to institutional development, has played a significant role in positioning UAES for sustainable growth and academic excellence.
โProfessor Eze has demonstrated exceptional academic and administrative leadership. His vision, commitment and ability to coordinate the University’s human and material resources have contributed greatly to the progress UAES has recorded.โ
The University don also commended the Governing Council, Management and entire staff of UAES for their dedication, efficiency and teamwork, stressing that the achievements recorded by the institution over the last five years were products of collective efforts.
He noted that the successful maiden convocation was not only a celebration of the graduating students but also an opportunity to appreciate everyone who had contributed to the growth and development of the university from its formative years.
Dr. Mbanusi, however, urged the Governing Council, Management and staff to build on the momentum, stressing the need for sustained commitment, innovation and teamwork towards taking the university to greater heights in the coming years.
He further encouraged prospective admission seekers to consider UAES as their preferred institution of higher learning, assuring them that the university was well positioned to emerge as a leading destination for quality higher education in Imo State and Nigeria at large.
He congratulated the graduating students, their parents and the entire university community on the successful maiden convocation, expressing optimism that the milestone would usher in a new phase of greater accomplishments for UAES.
