The recent press statement credited to one “Dr. Arinze Enwerem” and “Engr. Ikedi Uzowuru,” purporting to disown my leadership as the National President of the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate, is not just a comedy of errors but a glaring testament to the desperation of a man who has chosen to mortgage the future of Okigwe North Federal Constituency for his inordinate ambition.
For the records, the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate is not a mushroom organisation. It has been in existence for the past ten years, serving as the authentic voice of the youth constituency across the entire Okigwe Zone. For four of those years, I have had the distinct honour of leading this organisation without interference, building bridges and ensuring that the mandate of our people remains sacrosanct. Therefore, the claim by faceless entities that I am not a member of the group I have led for four years is not only laughable but a direct insult to the intelligence of the public.
Let it be stated clearly: Uchenna Agasu and his co-travellers are fighting a lost battle. Their attempt to use faceless individuals to distract the leadership of the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate is dead on arrival. The question every right-thinking member of the Okigwe North Federal Constituency should ask is: Who are Arinze Enwerem and Ikedi Uzowuru? Where do they come from? Which ward, which local government, and which polling unit do these “leaders” belong to?
The answer is simple. They are non-existent ghosts conjured by Uchenna Agasu to sell a narrative that does not exist. It is ironic that a man who claims to be a youth leader cannot produce a single known face to challenge the established leadership of Evang. Kelechi Uzomah. The use of faceless imposters goes a long way to show how far Uchenna Agasu can go to bring a constituent down. It exposes the depth of his desperation to sell Okigwe North Federal Constituency to an Nkwere man who sees our constituency merely as a retirement package when Gov. Hope Uzodimma leaves office in 2027.
Uchenna Agasu’s inordinate ambition has blinded him to the truth. He is no longer fighting for the youth; he is fighting for his pocket and the interests of external forces who see Okigwe North as a conquered territory. His attempt to discredit the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate is an attempt to silence the only credible voice that speaks for the youth of the entire Okigwe Zone. But we will not be silenced. Not even Uchenna Agasu and the enemies of Okigwe North Federal Constituency can stop Evang. Kelechi Uzomah and the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate from carrying out our legitimate responsibility of speaking truth to power.
Evang. Kelechi Uzomah, will not join issues with the paid agents of darkness imported by Uchenna Agasu. The Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate remains the authentic youth body of Okigwe Zone, and our mandate is clear: to protect the interest of our people. We will not allow attention seekers or political jobbers to distract us from this sacred duty.
To Uchenna Agasu, I say this: The Okigwe North Federal Constituency is not for sale, and the youths are not for hire. Your faceless imposters cannot rewrite the history of an organisation that has stood for ten years. Your attempt to use a faceless “President” to disown a duly elected National President is an exercise in futility. The sun cannot be hidden with a sieve, and the truth cannot be buried by paid propaganda.
Let the world know that the Okigwe Zone Youths Mandate stands solidly behind Evang. Kelechi Uzomah. We are watching, and no amount of faceless blackmail will derail our mandate.
