Joy and relief filled Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday as the rescued Maga schoolgirls were officially reunited with their parents at the Kebbi State Government House. The long-awaited reunion came days after the children were abducted during a violent attack on their community, sparking widespread fear and concern.
State officials, security personnel, and ministry representatives were present to receive the girls, who appeared calm but visibly exhausted from the ordeal. According to authorities, the students have undergone medical examinations and preliminary psychological assessments to ensure they are ready to return home.
