Stakeholders from Okigwe Norrh Federal Constituency in Imo State, have rejected the 3rd term bid of Hon Princess Onuoha describing it as an ” evil plan” against the people of Onuimo local government area whose turn it is to automatically take the .
Federal House slot in 2027.
According to Jefferey Ikenna Duru who spoke to our reporter, ” It is over 30 years that Onuimo had their last tiurn, when the late Hon Maurice Ibekwe represented us at the House of Reps. It is not fair for us to allow Miriam to go for another four years. We have tried to bring down insecurity in Okigwe Federal Constituency and we want to sustain it. We have somebody capable in the person of Hon James Esile. This is the man who sounded like a prophet and said that the governor should stand as the sole candidate in the 2023 Governirship election because of his perfirmance and that came to pass.”
He further said that with the Charter of Equity in place in the state, it should be the turn of Onuimo to produce the next reps member, adding that Hon Esile has shown his capacity in the Imo State House of Assembly and not just on paper.
Also speaking, Hon Nnadi Chiedozie said Princess Onuoha from Isiala Mbano had done 8 years and that the constituency needed fresh air. He advised that she should step down for a peaceful Okigwe North Federal Constituency by allowing Onuimo to have the seat. He said without mincing vords that ” Esile is the people’s choice. He is our desire and everybody in Okigwe North is yearning for him. He’s the person at the vanguard of youth desire and wish”.
Hon Chudiebere in his own words, blasted those coming out to represent the constituency as terrible elements, saying they have not been carrying people along and have failed to lay a foudation in the APC. He said that Miriam had come with the idea of “otu onu” meaning “one term” and people allowed her, only for her to stay in the House of Reps for 8 years and now wants to make it 12.. ” It is a shame that she has failed politically and she will be disgraced at the APC primary come rain and shine. His brother, Onwubuariri was there before her, meaning that Isiala Mbano had done 12 years at a stretch. My advice is that if you must uplift the masses, do the right thing.
