A Front runner APC aspirant for owerri municipal house of assembly seat Hon.Prince Johnkennedy Chigozie Ozuzu (aka) son of grace from Amawom autonomous community has presented his manifesto tagged ” My legislative Convenant with the people of owerri municipal.
The event which took place at Owerri municipal council headquarters witnessed the presence of party leaders and stakeholders including the former state chairman of APC Hon. Macdonald Ebere, the local government council chairman Engr Chidiebere Emereibe among numerous others.
While addressing the mammoth audience who came to witness the programme, Hon. Johnkennedy Ozuzu revealed his intentions was driven by selfless service for community development, and to deliver purposeful, participatory, and transparent representation that bridges the gap between the grassroots and government adding that his mission is to translate democratic dividends into visible and measurable realities for every citizen of owerri municipal Constituency.
According to him, “I am committed to sponsoring and supporting progressive bills that will directly improve the lives of the people, especially in the areas of economic growth, social welfare, education, youths development, and security. amendment of obsolete laws to align with present socio-economic realities and international best practices, collaborate with government agencies and development partners to establish vocational training centers and entrepreneurship support programs, facilitate access to grants, funding opportunities, and modern working tools for artisans, traders, farmers, women, and young entrepreneurs, support education through scholarships, bursaries, provision of instructional materials for schools within the constituency,rehabilitation and construction of critical infrastructure including roads, water systems, and electricity projects across communities, he stated.
He further pledged to ensure that ministries, departments, and agencies responsibly implement budgets and projects allocated to the constituency through transparency, accountability, and open procurement processes, while ensuring that public funds are properly utilized for the benefit of the people.
” We believes in inclusive governance where every demographic group including persons living with disabilities, traditional institutions, market women, youths, and non-indigenes — will have a voice in decision-making and community development, therefore I urged the people of owerri municipal support my aspiration with the assurance of rapid infrastructural development and all inclusive representation, he concluded.
