…Okolieogwo, Okafor, Okike Drum Support for Party’s Victory

Party leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nempi Eleh Ward, Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, have called on members to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and work collectively towards delivering victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
The enlarged sensitisation meeting, held at Onyeaghala Civic Hall, Nempi, attracted a mammoth gathering of party faithful and was chaired by the APC Ward Chairman, Hon. Magnus Obike, who charged polling unit chairmen and booth leaders to intensify mobilisation in their respective units to ensure overwhelming victory for the party.
Addressing the gathering, the Apex Leader of Nempi Eleh Ward and Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Adm. Willie T. C. Okolieogwo, urged party leaders to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, describing voter education and participation as critical to the APC’s success in 2027.
He highlighted Governor Hope Uzodimma’s achievements, particularly the ongoing reconstruction of the Owerri Onitsha Express Road, and urged members to support all APC candidates, especially the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Oru West State Constituency, Barr. Emeka Agbor.
He described Agbor as a loyal party man capable of consolidating the governor’s developmental strides and reminded members to obtain their PVCs before the July 26 deadline, stressing that “if you don’t have your PVC, you are not with us.”
Also speaking, the Accountant General of Imo State, Dr. Linus Okafor, commended members for their loyalty to the APC, noting that a ward’s voting strength largely determines the level of government attention and development it receives.
Okafor observed that Nempi Eleh Ward has benefited immensely from Governor Uzodimma’s administration through appointments and developmental projects. He also applauded the governor’s efforts in tackling insecurity and urged members to sustain their support for the APC.
Industrialist and APC leader, Chief Alphonsus Okike (Alpha), stressed the need for massive mobilisation, expressing confidence that the APC would record victory in the 2027 elections. He urged members to support the ward leadership while encouraging the chairman to continue carrying everyone along.
The Councillor representing Nempi Eleh Ward, Hon. Chief Columbus Obanaka, urged members who were yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to visit the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Mgbidi before the deadline. He also enlightened them on the state’s new billboard regulations, explaining that taxes must be paid before campaign billboards are erected.
President of the Presidents General (POP) of Oru West Local Government Area, Comrade Emmanuel Metu, applauded Governor Uzodimma’s infrastructural achievements and called on members to mobilise more eligible voters for the APC.
In his remarks, the APC candidate for Oru West State Constituency, Barr. Emeka Agbor, who joined the meeting to greet party faithful from the neighbouring Nempi community, appreciated the warm reception and assured members of quality representation if elected.
Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Oru West, Hon. Valentine Okolie, expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in 2027, describing the party as a moving train destined for success. He commended the impressive turnout and urged members to remain united.
Other leaders present included the President General of Nempi Development Union, Evang. Ikechukwu Ononiwu; Chief Kenneth Okolieogwo; Solomon Ohabuiro; Chief Ben Ekwueme; alongside ward executives, polling unit chairmen, youth and women leaders, and party faithful from across Nempi Eleh Ward.
