COALITION HAS EXISTED SINCE 2023 IN SUPPORT OF DIBIAGWU’S QUALITY REPRESENTATION; RAINBOW COALITION IS A FAKE PRODUCT — OLUIMO

by admin

The political activist and public analyst, Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis, popularly known as OluImo, has described the emergence and controversies surrounding the purported Rainbow Coalition as an attempt to create a false political narrative, insisting that a formidable coalition in support of Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu has existed in the Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency since 2023.

OluImo maintained that the coalition was not a recent political invention but a collective decision by stakeholders and supporters across different political parties who came together ahead of the 2023 general elections to support quality representation and give Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu the mandate to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

According to him, the coalition emerged at a critical moment when constituents from different political platforms, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and other political interests, resolved to put aside their partisan differences and adopt Dibiagwu, the APC candidate, as their preferred choice for the Federal Constituency seat.

He noted that the political understanding and collective determination contributed significantly to Dibiagwu’s electoral victory in 2023, adding that the coalition has remained formidable, structured and committed to his representation because of what he described as his credible and unprecedented performance at the National Assembly.

Speaking on the controversy surrounding the Rainbow Coalition, OluImo stated:

“Since 2023, the people of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency have had a formidable coalition built on a common political understanding and a shared commitment to quality representation. This coalition has remained steadfast in its support for Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu because of his performance and commitment to the people.

“Therefore, it is misleading for anyone to present a newly branded political arrangement as though it represents the original coalition that has sustained Dibiagwu’s mandate. The Rainbow Coalition, as currently being projected, is nothing more than a fake political product. The hydrocarbon region cannot be deceived by political rebranding or the manipulation of established political structures.”

OluImo further argued that the dividends of quality representation are not restricted to members of the APC, stressing that constituents across different political affiliations, including the APP, PDP, Labour Party (LP) and others, stand to benefit from projects, interventions and developmental initiatives attracted to the constituency.

He emphasized that representation should be assessed by its visible achievements, legislative contributions, empowerment initiatives and commitment to constituency development rather than political labels or the creation of new coalition identities.

The activist maintained that the existing coalition represents a broader political understanding that transcends party affiliations, insisting that its primary objective remains the consolidation of Dibiagwu’s achievements and the continuation of what he described as progressive representation.

He concluded by reaffirming his confidence in the existing political structure and called on stakeholders, political leaders and constituents across the four local government areas to remain united in support of continuity.

For OluImo, the political direction of the hydrocarbon region should be determined by credible performance, established political understanding and the collective interest of the people, rather than what he described as artificial political arrangements.
