A leading politician in the state and an indigene of Owerri Municipal Council, Prince Evans Anozie, has extended his felicitations to the fathers in the municipality over the 2024 Fathers’ Day Celebration. This was as he highlighted the curial duties of fatherhood in achieving good families and better society, as he encouraged them to be role models at all times.
Prince Anozie, a community leader and Owerri Municipal Council chairmanship aspirant, in a message of felicitation he personally signed and obtained by this medium, emphasized that responsibilities which worthy fathers are expected to shoulder included, impacting their children positively through love, care fostering of discipline and moral values among others. Beyond the immediate family, good fathers, he posited should contribute towards community and social development.
The massage titled: “The Noble Role of being A Father in the Municipality,” read: “Being a father is a noble role in any setting, including in a municipality. Fathers play a crucial role in the community by providing guidance, support, and love to their children and families. In a municipality, fathers serve as role models for their children and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
Fathers are responsible for instilling values, teaching life lessons, and fostering a sense of responsibility in their children. Their influence goes beyond their own family to impact the community at large. Fathers who are involved in their children’s lives help create a strong foundation for future generations and contribute to building a better society.
In the municipality, fathers also play a role in community development by participating in local initiatives, volunteering their time and skills, and supporting community organizations.
