Notable Igbo breeds, technocrats and business tycoons, Dr. Ejike Lucky Chukwu and Chief Okenze Obinna, have urged Igbos to invest home to create jobs for the teaming youths to generate wealth, as well as boost revenue to improve development, advance peace and progress.
These personages made the urge in an interview with journalists after receiving media awards from South East Journalists, during a Media Summit, held at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, on Wednesday.
For Dr. Ejike Lucky Chukwu who was meritoriously crowned Hero of Humanitarian Intervention Award, advised Igbo media professionals to project Igbo culture positively to attract business and investment to strengthen Internally Generated Revenue to boost development.
Thanking organizers of the award for finding him worthy of the honor, the 2019 Imo State Guber Candidate of African Democratic Party (ADC), Ejike Chukwu, expressed delight, even as he promised to often enliven philanthropy and selfless service to humanity and society.
Ejike Chukwu, an oil magnet, a humanitarian, politician and a patriotic indigene of Etekuru in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, has gotten many dignifying Medals due to his selfless services to humanity and society.
Ejike Chukwu is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Megadrill Nigeria Ltd.
Stressing on the need for wealthy Igbo breeds to invest home, Okenze Obinna, an indigene of Ngor-Okpala, who is into building technology, encouraged journalists to publish relevant materials to promote the friendliness, tranquil, calm and peaceful Igbo environments to attract investment.
Okenze Obinna, who also profoundly appreciated South East Journalists for dignifying him, called on media professionals to build gigantic Printing Press to speedy their job, lessen stress.
