The former Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Transport,Hon. Kenneth Okafor on Thursday 30th January,2025 passed through the State House of Assembly screening as a Commissioner-Designate.
Hon. Okafor popularly called “Nwachinemere” has scaled through screening and currently awaiting for inauguration by the Executive Governor of Imo State,His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma any moment from now.
Before his appointment,Hon. Kenneth Okafor is the serving President-General of Omuma Central Union,Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.
Speaking to newsmen immediately after the screening,Hon. Kenneth Okafor expressed gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy to serve Imo people under his “shared prosperity” government.
“I’m excited and Imo people should expect more good things”, the Commissioner-Designate promised.
However,feelers were of the opinion that Hon. Okafor will do well in the Ministry of Transport considering his antecedents as SA to the Governor on Transport.
Other screened Commissioner nominees were; Prof Boniface G. Nworgu and Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu.
