Mrs Jacinta Laid To Rest As Amadi Family, Others Mourn, Say She Was Mother To All

Late Mrs Jacinta Ajuka Amadi Nee Odunze has been laid to rest on Friday February 13, 2026 in her husband’s compound in Eziala Nguru, Ngor Okpala L.G.A, Imo State after a funeral mass at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Nguru.

The burial ceremony was attended by sympathizers from all walks of life both big and small who came from far and near to pay the last respect to the deceased as the family gave her a befitting burial, describing her as a good woman, and a mother to all.

Late Mrs Jacinta was born into the family of Late Mr and Mrs Donatus Odunze of Umuezue Naze, Owerri North L.G.A, Imo State on September 7, 1959. She was born twins, and as the only surviving twin sister, Nee Odunze was coddle to the extent of having every social facility provided around her by her caring father.

Nee Odunze was happily married to Mr Basil Chukwudi Amadi, and the marriage was blessed with 4 sons and 3 daughters. She died 2025 at the age of 65 years, and survived by her husband, 6 children, 13 grandchildren and others.

In an interview with the last son and child of the deceased, Mr. Basil Amadi Jnr, said the death of his lovely mother has created a big vacuum in the family, noting that the deceased was a great woman as well as a loving and caring mother.

Basil Jnr who is also known as DJ Romeo, added that his Late mother was a hard worker, a kind and wonderful woman who always took caring of everyone that came around her as he described her as a beacon of love and peace.

DJ Romeo said even though he is missing her, he is happy that his Late mother was a devoted christian, lived an exemplary life, and impacted positively on the lives of the people, adding that she left an indelible legacy behind. He thanked God for giving him and the family a dutiful and virtuous woman as he bade her farewell, and asked her to rest in peace until they meet again.

In his tribute, the second son of the deceased, Pst Franklin O Amadi, stated that the glorious call of his wonderful mother was a shock, unexpected, surprised and painful. He noted that the demise of his mother was a great loss to the family, and to all who knew her. He expressed satisfaction over the life she lived well, and noted that the legacies she left behind are indelible.

Pst Franklin disclosed that noone was as loving, caring and compassionate woman as his Late mother except Jesus Christ and his dad. He further noted that the deceased was a peace loving woman whose kindness and generosity to humanity were immeasurable as he noted that his Late mother was also a mentor and a role model. He said if there is reincarnation, he would love her to be his mother again. The priest asked her to rest in peace until they meet in Paradise where there is no pain, sorrow and death.
