Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, has rejected allegations brought against him and declared that the ongoing court proceedings will not hinder his commitment to delivering critical infrastructure projects across the country.

Addressing the matter, Umahi described the legal challenge as an issue that will be resolved through due process. He expressed confidence in the judicial system and maintained that the case would not distract him from his responsibilities as minister.

The former governor of Ebonyi State stated that his priority remains the advancement of Nigeria’s road network and other key construction projects under his supervision. He said public service is both a national duty and a divine calling, adding that no form of distraction would deter him from fulfilling his mandate.

Umahi also assured stakeholders and citizens that work on ongoing and planned infrastructure projects will continue without interruption. He said infrastructure development is vital to economic growth, improved connectivity, and national progress.

The minister added that he will continue to focus on delivering results while allowing the courts to handle the legal process, insisting that the administration’s development agenda remains on track.
