The distressed citizens of Imo State, Nigeria, are making an impassioned and heartfelt plea to their honorable Executive Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko), urging him to show compassion and release Mr. Emmanuel Ezeanochie, the detained President of ISAMATA.
Ezeanochie has been languishing at the Imo State Police Command for over 31 grueling days, during which his health has drastically worsened, compelling this urgent and emotional appeal.
Speaking with deep concern and empathy, anonymous leaders from Imo State conveyed, “Our beloved Governor, you are the guiding father of all Imo citizens;
“We fervently implore you to extend your grace and kindness to the embattled President of ISAMATA. To err is human; to forgive, divine;
“We deeply admire your relentless fight against insecurity and corruption in our cherished state, reflecting your commendable leadership and unwavering resolve;
“However, we earnestly beg you to demonstrate your benevolence and release Ezeanochie.”
They further emphasized, “While you hold the authority to freeze his bank accounts and conduct a thorough investigation into his financial transactions during his time as ISAMATA President, we implore you to prioritize his immediate release from police custody due to his critical health condition.”
Reports from ThePressman newspaper and various journalists indicate that over 25 individuals arrested alongside Ezeanochie have already been granted freedom. This has prompted the concerned group to ask, “Why is Ezeanochie still enduring detention?”
They continued with urgency, “Please, our compassionate Governor, we earnestly beseech you to release Ezeanochie. He is in desperate need of immediate medical care. His health has deteriorated severely after 31 days in detention, requiring urgent medical attention and treatment.”
This collective and heartfelt plea underscores the urgent need for a compassionate and humane response to safeguard the health and wellbeing of Ezeanochie, highlighting the vital importance of mercy and humanity in leadership.
