Comrade Reward Evans, the newly elected President General of Assa Autonomous community in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state , has appretiated Imo state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for giving him and other executives the opportunity to serve their community.
Comrade Reward expressed the appreciation at Heroes Square Owerri, during the inauguration of the new executive , on 26th of June , 2024.
Comrade Reward, noted that governor Uzodinma is passionate towards the overall development of the Assa community and they are willing to serve the community towards it’s rapid development.
He commented the initiatives and visionary leadership mapped out by the governor to transform Assa community to an enviable height . He assured that, they will align with the governor’s visions to bring development to Assa community, which according to him is one of their agenda..
Comrade Reward also thanked Imo Commissioner For Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba , Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Mrs Ruby Emele , Special Adviser to the governor on Labour Matters, Hon Austin Chilakpo , Former Minister Of Education ( state ) , Rt Hon Goodluck NanaOpia , Former Transitional Chairman of Ohaji/ Egbema Local Government, Chief Marcel Amadioha , traditional ruler of Assa autonomous community, HRH Eze Emmanuel Assor , the present Sole Administrator of Ohaji/ Egbema and other Assa community leaders that played pivotal roles towards the actualization of their appointments.
He also pledged that, they will leave up to expectations and bring the desired peace, unity and development in Assa community to limelight.
However, he noted that, Assa community host over five multi national and indigenous companies which include SPDC , SEPLAT among other. He maintained that the community that host such companies deserves social amenities like electricity, access roads , hospital among others for the community members to enjoy with . He then called on the management of the said companies to do the needful.
The inauguration ceremony attracted lots of dignitaries and community members in Ohaji Egbema LGA and beyond.
