It was a fanfare as media professionals, friends, relatives and political associates of Amb. Lady Chika Uju, celebrated her 59th birthday with her.
The birthday celebration took place at Mavis Hotel, Works Layout, Owerri, on Monday, 19th day of August 2024, with the academia, business class, journalists, clergy and traditional institution pouring encomiums on her.
Among prominent persons who were around to celebrate with the celebrant included the traditional ruler of Umuihim autonomous community in Isiala Mbano, HRM, Eze Oliver Ohanweh, State Chairman of PDP, Mr. Dike and his Secretary, Hon. Victor Diala, former Imo NUJ Chairman, Innocent Igwe, Arc. Achugo Uche, PG of Eziachi community, Orlu, Inine Isu (Uche Davis).

Speaking, HRM, Eze Oliver Ohanweh, assessed “Lady Chika Uju as a fine Lady in all aspects. She is religious, loving, nice, caring, a visionary politician who is sincere and beautiful. She is intelligent and accommodating. I pray that God continues to sustain her”.
With the former Chairman of Imo State Nigerian Union of Journalists, Innocent Igwe, defining Amb. Chika Uju as a “golden Lady who worths being a gold. She is considerate, result oriented, God- fearing and has made huge impact in journalism profession”.
The PG of Eziachi, Orlu and a relative of Uju, Achugo Uche, praised God for keeping her and adding a new year to her peaceful life.
As renowned journalists, Chief Everest Ezihe, Emma Chukwu, Juliet Dim, Barr. Vivian Otti and Chika Ewurum, described the celebrant as a “quintessential woman who is good to humanity, She will always receive many blessings because she has a golden heart.
“She always stands by her word, she is a woman of justice who does not support evil, generous, heartwarming, she is one in a million”, they added.
The celebrant’s sister, Mrs. Uche Ihim, described her as a “woman of substance. I pray she lives longer. She will live longer to reap her goodness.
Just as her friend Mrs. Esther Chukwuneke, who said she “knew her for barely one year and since then my life has changed positively. This is my second time of setting my eyes on her. I pray to God to bless her always as she does good to humanity. I’m very proud to meet her”.
Prof. KO Nworgu, of IMSU , also blessed God on behalf of his former student, Chika Uju.
Giving a vote of thanks, Hon. Victor Diala, affirmed that “Lady Chika Uju’s life is a model to humanity. She is a caring mother and a reserved woman. She remains one of the characters that effect positive change in the society.
Expressing profound gratitude and delight for the show of love and shower of praises by people, the celebrant, Amb Chika Uju, thanked God for sustaining her and blessing her immeasurably.
“I’m very delighted for the birthday wishes and I pray that God keeps those who celebrated with me. I thank God for keeping me to mark 59th birthday and I will always remain grateful to God as I work for humanity”, she maintained.
