The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu have disclosed that state government through the Works Ministry have begun the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the state capital,
Ralph Nwosu disclosed this during his interview with journalists in his office at the state secretariat complex, the Commissioner stated the the ministry have embarked on operation zero pothole and rehabilitation of some critical roads for seamless and traffic free movement of vehicles within the state capital.
In his words ” We are mindful of the deplorable state of roads in Owerri and environs but due to the rains we couldn’t do pavement works until last week when the weather became favourable and rehabilitation and maintenance program commenced. I am happy that we have recovered those intricate areas and progressively the exercise is still ongoing as i speak.”
Ralph Nwosu used the opportunity to urge Imo people to continue giving support to the administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma for the realization of infrastructural prosperity and sustainable development of the state. he added.
