In a solemn and dignified tribute, I Chief Hon. Wisdom Ekewuba joined prominent Nigerians in bidding farewell to the late Chief Chris Asoluka — a respected elder statesman, former member of the House of Representatives, and former Commissioner.
The ceremony, held in honor of Chief Asoluka’s impactful life, brought together a host of dignitaries from across the nation. The Governor of Imo State was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ekomaru.
Also in attendance were Governor of Abia State His Excellency Governor Otto and his amiable wife, Distinguish Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi,Mr. Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate; renowned banker and philanthropist Chief Tony Elumelu, alongside many other distinguished guests.
Their presence reflected the wide-reaching influence and respect Chief Asoluka commanded throughout his lifetime, both in public service and within his community.
Chief Hon. Wisdom Ekewuba, in his tribute, described the late Asoluka as “a symbol of wisdom, patriotism, and selfless service,” and urged Nigerians to emulate his values and deep commitment to the nation’s progress.
