Former presidential aide Daniel Bwala has reacted to a court ruling that halted moves to impeach Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, insisting that no individual or institution should obstruct the governor from carrying out his constitutional responsibilities.

Bwala said the court’s decision reinforces the rule of law and serves as a reminder that democratic processes must be respected at all times. He stressed that impeachment should not be used as a political tool, but must strictly follow due process as provided by the constitution.

He further stated that Governor Fubara was elected by the people and should be allowed to govern without intimidation or undue interference. Bwala called on all political actors to respect the court’s order and focus on stability, good governance, and the welfare of the people rather than political interests.
