Since Wednesday, the 6th day of May, the people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal constituency have been celebrating Hon. Prince Joseph Okwara (Akajiugo) as the best and most qualified aspirant among the litany, that have already purchased and submitted their Orlu Federal House of Representatives expression of interest and nomination forms for 2027.As at press time , the roving newsmen visited the commercial hubs in the mentioned three LGAs, and confirmed the jubilation report, which reportedly dovetailed into shutting down of business activities as a prove of total solidarity and support over the expression of interest and the nomination forms which they convinced their illustrious son, Prince Joseph Okwara to secure from the All Progressives Congress APC, document and submit with full assurance that he is the only Primus inter pares. It was also gathered that all the Ward Chairmen and their relevant Principal office holders within the said federal constituency, also came to endorse the form as officially stipulated.
In a session with newsmen on why Orsu people resolved to support the 2027 Federal House of Representative ambition of Prince Okwara Joseph, a frontline advocate for Orsu LGA Youths, Dr. Stephen Ukpaka hinted that on the face of zoning arrangement, it is the right of Orlu LGA to complete their tenure as, it will be very unfair for anybody from Orsu LGA to contest at this time. He recalled the fact that Orsu LGA had just concluded their fourth term with Hon. Ojinaka and Hon Jerry Alagboso who served from 2011 to 2023 before Hon Cannice Nwachukwu assumed office. He stated that the need to allow Prince Joseph Okwara to complete the tenure for Orlu LGA, is solely, to wipe off tears from the eyes of Orlu grassroot federal constituents that have, over the years, been disconnected from the center of power . “That they need a man like Prince Okwara who has the capacity to build a system that can outlast political cycles and create long term economic opportunities for Oru East, Orlu and Orsu people. A man who will maintain an open line of communication with the Communities, the traditional rulers and the youths of the federal constituency.
Fielding questions from Journalists on why his constituents are celebrating and galvanizing support for him, Prince Akajiugo expressed that his people repose unwavering confidence in him. He vowed to serve as a proactive voice in the legislative Chambers, Sponsor bills, motions and debates that reflect the need of the people, attract good roads, health centers, skill acquisition hubs, and scholarship programs and other amenities that should be able to positively transform lives.
