Former Special Adviser on Political Matters in the Office of the Vice President, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign if his administration is unable to guarantee the safety of Nigerians.

Speaking amid growing concerns over persistent insecurity across the country, Baba-Ahmed said the protection of lives and property remains the foremost responsibility of any government. According to him, failure to fulfill that obligation raises serious questions about leadership and accountability.

He lamented the continued incidents of banditry, kidnappings, and violent attacks in different parts of the country, arguing that Nigerians deserve a government capable of providing adequate security.
